Delivering a global change program for a newly-deployed data management platform
Our Global Pharma client had multiple systems to manage a key global process and planned to replace these with a single unified platform used by all countries.
Background and challenge
The platform landscape for this particular business function was very fragmented which was causing issues in ensuring effective global oversight and compliance. Once deployed, individual users and the organization as a whole would gain multiple benefits, but for many countries this represented significant change making effective training and communication essential.
Approach
We started with a series of stakeholder interviews to better understand the impact of the change amongst different audiences. Guided by this, we developed communication plans which set out a change journey and the multiple training and change activities that key audiences would experience. With those plans in place, we worked alongside the Global team to develop all required training (in the form of e-learning) and communication and worked closely with individual countries as they deployed. We continue to support the project with ongoing communications, training updates and regular pulse check.
Results
The new platform is now fully deployed and has thousands of active users with many of the anticipated benefits now being realised.
